They are leaders and good role models who have the chance to help others.

Steps

Take chances. If someone starts telling you about how hard a certain subject is, offer to help study. Or if you overhear about someone’s poor grades, find a way to be a homework partner.

Sign up. Programs such as “Big brother, big sister” are very respectable. Many kids lives and confidence are improved thanks to volunteers. In high school, optional classes such as mentoring are given. Find a way to get it on your schedule. If not, then your community library or church may have one.

Be seen. Finding opportunities to help special ed children or assisting the teachers will put out the word of your work. Do a good job and truly care.

Do it yourself. Sometimes there isn’t a place for you. Make posters or somehow announce that you have a date, time, and location set up for people to meet if they would be willing to accept help. Confirm that it is free of charge (or not). Be ready with necessary supplies/knowledge so you can explain to them how to do certain assignments.

Tips

Be a good person. If there’s word out there about you being good with kids, parents will be more excited about letting them come to you.

Warnings

No one may show up to your study sessions. Don’t be disappointed – just keep trying if you really want to.

Whether you love or hate Bill Gates…he sure hit the nail on the head when he recently gave a speech at a high school graduation.

Here Are 11 Job Advice Rules Your Teens Are NOT Learning in School:

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Life is especially not fair at work. Some work harder than others for less pay…some work less for more pay.

Rule 2: The world doesn’t care about your self-esteem.

Neither does your boss. He wants the job to get done – and done well.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. Or become a vice president out of college.

If you don’t believe me, just ask any recent graduate.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Or obnoxious co-workers you’re stuck working with 8 hours a day.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping; they called it opportunity.

I think every teen should be required to work at a fast food restaurant. They’ll learn the meaning of hard work and be motivated to further their education!

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault. So don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

The best thing you can do for your kids is let them make their own mistakes. And not make excuses for them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now.

They got that way from paying your bills, doing your laundry, and listening to you talk about how cool you are.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT.

In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

There’s no extra credit at work if you screw something up. And if you don’t do your job – you’ll be fired.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and
few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

There’s no spring break either. You’ll be lucky if you get 2 weeks of paid vacation.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and to to jobs.

And you won’t be able to surf the internet or listen to your iPod either.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

Your boss doesn’t care if you were popular in high school. No one does.

If you agree with these rules…pass it on. If you can read these rules…THANK a teacher!

Do your kids think money grows on trees? Here’s a step-by-step guide for teaching your kids the value of a buck… [http://www.millionaire-kids.com/millionairekidsebook.html]Millionaire Kids Broke Kids so your kids don’t fall into the trap of spend now…pay later…and be flat broke living paycheck to paycheck by the age of 30!

By Nick Travis

As you approach your teenage years, you will be asked on dates. This is a normal part of growing up and should be fun! However, there are instances in the dating scene that are not suitable for your physical and mental capabilities. Thus, you should take note of these tips.

Always Feel Good About Yourself

You are already dealing with plenty of teenage angst as it is without anybody else adding to it. Thus, if you must date someone, do so because he makes you feel genuinely good about yourself and you know that you can make him feel good about himself, too. After all, dating is supposed to be a fun activity, of which abusive physical acts and words have no places whatsoever in it.

If somebody is pressuring you to do something that you feel unready for, then don’t give in to the pressure and don’t date him again. Keep in mind that you may well regret your decision to give in to something that will not make your feel good.

Interaction Is Key, Not Control

You are too young to be controlled by anyone, be it in terms of physical or mental control. You are an independently thinking human being and as such, deserve the respect for being so. If it is not provided, then it is best to just walk away.

Your teen dating encounters must be of the interactive types where you become acquainted with each other before deciding to make a go at it on a deeper level. Keep in mind that relationships are about being on equal ground, not who controls whom. Otherwise, you might just find yourself in a relationship that can be traumatic.

Just make sure that while dating your fellow teens, you are indeed having good, clean fun at it. This way, you can look back with fond memories of those times.

Nick has been writing articles for nearly 4 years. His newest interest is in camping. So come visit his latest website that discusses camping products such as camping water filter and water filter bottle.

As a teenager, you cannot change the world all on your own. However, you can do quite a few things to help contribute towards changing the world. There are many other ways that you can help change the world apart from the ones that are listed in this article, but for now here are a few easy things to do seeing as you are only a teen/kid. You could do much more though, the possibilities depends on you and they are entirely endless.

Steps

Recycling. You’ve most likely heard about it and you might even do it yourself. However, you may want to recycle even more. If you’ve finished drinking a bottle of water and you’re definitely sure that you’re not going to use it again, recycle it. You can recycle many things, quite a few things are: Paper, Glass (may vary from place to place), Cardboard and plastic. You can talk to your current Recycle plan company to find out even more information.

Donate. Donation can vary from time to time. You may find yourself in a charity shop donating all your old clothes/shoes/toys or you could simply find yourself putting all your loose change inside a money box outside a charity shop. You don’t have to do extreme things like for example donating blood if you’re definitely not 100% sure about it. Do what you feel comfortable with doing. Money that is donated to charity is usually used to help those that are in poverty or that need a little extra care.

Littering. Time after time you may have found yourself in a position where you have littered. Littering contributes to polluting the planet and is quite hazardous to the people and animals around us. If there aren’t any nearby bins, hold on to your rubbish until you find one. If you’re rubbish is recyclable, recycle it. You don’t have to pick up other people’s litter if you don’t want to but if you feel that you should then go ahead but take caution; you don’t know where it’s been, who/what’s touched it and what it may have been previously used for.

Reduce Vehicle Pollution. It’s not only a waste of gas/patrol to drive to a nearby destination but it’s also polluting our environment. If your parents (considering you’re a kid/teen)offer to drive you school, politely decline their offer and walk instead. If your journey isn’t walkable, you might want to take a bus/train instead. However, it may be best just to let your parents drive you if you don’t like to use public transport.

Electricity. Ever found yourself in a position where you seem to have run out of space to plug something in? First of all, if you’re not using an electrical powered object that you aren’t currently using; turn it off and then unplug it. It’s not necessary to have all the sockets occupied at once. If you straighten your hair every morning, then you might want to change that. Not only are you wasting energy but you’re damaging your hair. It’s also best to avoid over-charging your laptop if you use one because they do take quite a while to charge depending on your performance plan. If you use a computer and you find yourself bored whilst your on it, turn it off and consider finding another activity to keep yourself occupied. Also, never leave your computer/laptop on overnight, in that situation, you’re not only wasting energy but you’re over-heating your computer/laptop and you could increase the chances of a house fire.

Tips

If you’re going out, turn off all of the running appliances in your room and maybe even your house. Your refrigerator and freezer however will need to still be running to avoid spoilt foods.

Warnings

Make sure that you donate money to a legit and registered charity, you don’t want to get scammed.

As mentioned before, it’s best that you don’t pick up after other people’s litter for health and safety reasons.

In most places, littering is an offense and you will get fined depending on what you’re littering and where you’re littering.

Some people might frown upon you doing this.

A lot of articles that are created on being a healthy teenager, are mainly for girls. Well, whether your a boy or a girl, this article is for you! From personal hygiene to healthy eating it explains everything for you!

Steps

Learn about hygiene basics. The more you understand about hygiene the more likely you are to follow the rules on it!

Take showers everyday. No, not every other day: every day. Because of puberty, your sweat glands are becoming more active, which are creating different chemicals that cause sweat to turn into a disgusting odor. So, to make sure you’re getting rid of all this smelly odor you should use a mild soap and warm water! Even if it’s hot outside you need to shower in warm water, because that opens up your pores which means you get to clean more of that smell off of you. Then rinse off in cold water to shut your pores and eliminate the amount of bacteria that makes you stink.

Wear clean clothing and apply deodorant to your now clean armpits. Boys, that means changing your socks and underwear every day. Girls, that means washing your bra every other day, unless you have more than one.

Brush your teeth at minimum two times a day. Strive to try and brush your teeth after every meal! When brushing your teeth, hold your brush at an angle so it lines up with your gum line. Brush back and forth making sure to get every single tooth. Be sure to use a soft bristle brush so you don’t damage your gums. And either use your brush or a tongue scraper to get rid of all the bacteria on your tongue. If you don’t know this, bad breath mostly comes from either poor eating habits or poor brushing habits. After you brush for three minutes (yes, three!), floss and use a good mouthwash. You only need to floss once a day, which should be at night, so you can get rid of all that junk that has built up in your mouth! By the way: mouth wash, and brushing your teeth regularly don’t get rid of bad breath. Those are just myths! You need to floss to get rid of the pieces of food in your mouth, if you don’t those pieces will gather bacteria which gives off a bad odor. And breathing into your hand to see if you have bad breath doesn’t work.

Wash your face two times a day with warm water and a soap made for people with acne. If you have acne that is, if not you can choose what you use. Don’t scrub! Rub in circular motions slowly and gently. You should not pop pimples, this can lead to scarring and an infected pimple. Also, try not to touch your face, and only touch your face if you have just washed your hands. Always remove makeup from your face before you go to sleep and keep your hair clean to eliminate the amount of oil that gets on your face.

Wash your hair, depending on your hair type, everyday to every other day. Use a shampoo and conditioner meant for your type of hair. It doesn’t work if your using volume shampoo when you need smoothing shampoo. You don’t need conditioner but it helps if you get knots or tangles easily. And every two or three weeks, wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the build up.

Shave. If your a teenage boy, you may start shaving your face and if your a teenage girl you may start shaving your legs and underarms. Here’s some tips:

Don’t skimp on shaving crème. Use as much as you need to when you first start out shaving.

Shave with the grain, this will give you a lesser chance of getting in-grown hairs which hurt a lot.

Use an aftershave or some sort of lotion to prevent razor burn, and to give you less irritation.

Start eating healthier. Eating healthy is really important if you want to be a healthy teen. You don’t need to go on a full blown diet, but you might want to cut back on all the salts and sugars your devouring. When you have breakfast be sure to get dairy, protein, and fruit into your breakfast. You could have some bacon, with a glass of milk, and a bowl of fruit! That would be very healthy. Make sure your getting three-square meals a day, and have them last at least 20 minutes, so you’re not eating excess food you don’t need. Try healthy alternatives, instead of having a bowl of ice-cream, opt for a frozen yogurt. Or try having apple slices instead of potato chips. Go for healthy substitutions, if your making brownies and it calls for cooking oil substitute oil for apple sauce. It will be healthier and make them moister! Drink more water. This is basically the most important thing of all. If you drink more water you will be healthier. It flushes the toxins out of your body plus makes your skin clearer and gives it a healthy glow.

Start exercising everyday. Whether it’s walking in the park, or doing a couple of crunches do at least 20 minutes of physical activity everyday. Not only will it make you slimmer and toned, it will make you stronger and you may soon find out you can run the mile without even stopping with a side cramp. You could go to the local gym and practice swimming laps or running on the treadmill. You could even buy a couple workout DVD’s from the store and workout in the comfort of your own home. Whatever it is, exercising is about being healthy and happy about your body.

Catch up on your sleep. Teenage bodies need more sleep than adult bodies. We’re stressed more with homework and chores, yet we can hang on with only a couple hours of sleep. You don’t want to do that! You need to get at least 9 hours of sleep. No arguing or discussing it. 9 hours. Especially if you have to wake up early. Just shut off your phone and anything else that could keep you up and shut your eyes. You might say I can’t sleep though. Well that’s because you’re not trying. If you actually lay silently and close your eyes you’ll be waking up for the next morning in no time.

Tips

Warm water opens your pores and cold water closes your pores! What does that mean? It means cleaner skin!

Brush your teeth every day. Don’t even try to skip it. Everyone will know.

When you’re shaving, don’t shave to hard or to fast, that will just cause nicks and burning. Not comfortable.

Always wear clean clothing, and never wear the same underwear two days in a row. That’s disgusting.

If you’re cooking bacon, or any oily type of food, get rid of excess oil by patting it lightly with a paper towel.

Warnings

Don’t shave to fast!

Never starve yourself to be skinny, you’ll end up looking ugly or even worse you could die!

Sometimes, an allowance just isn’t enough. If you need some more pocket money to catch the latest movies, take out your new girlfriend/boyfriend, or just to start saving up, you might have to get a job. It can be difficult to get one when you are a teenager, but not impossible. As a teenager, you’re starting out brand new, and although most companies do request experience, the key to getting “THE” job is to sell yourself.

Steps

Start researching.

Find organizations and other places that you know pay teens to work. Good places to check are government departments and nonprofit organizations such as City Park and Recreation Departments, Zoos, Museums, Camps, and Hospitals.

Also try looking for work in fast-food restaurants. Look also for bridge clubs. They usually meet once a week and pay well for caddies and also have tournaments every month or so that pay even more.

Don’t go out looking to be executive director of any job. Start out small and easy; retail and food industries are probably the most likely and easiest jobs to obtain. Remember, although it’s not the best job it is a start.

Get the word out. You can post flyers in your neighbhorhood detailing jobs that you can do, such as lawn mowing, babysitting, or dog-walking. You can also post your information on a website or job board, but beware of giving out personal information until you trust the other person. Post 3 x 5 cards at local stores and other places with notice-boards telling of the services you’re willing to do.

Use your connections. Talk to friends and family about any paying jobs they might know of, and follow through.

Volunteer. Sometimes, the best way to get a paying job is to begin as a volunteer and work your way up. You may have to give some of your time for free to make money in the long run. Treat your volunteer work as if it were a paying job — get there on time, call as soon as you know you can’t come in or are going to be late. Listen and learn about the organization. Do such a good job they learn to rely on you.

Write a resume. Even if most jobs you apply for don’t ask for a resume, it’s a good exercise, and it’s useful to have your work history and education details all written out in one place. It makes filling out applications much easier.

Apply early! The most important key to getting jobs with these places is to apply as soon as you hear about jobs. Always be on the lookout–sometimes recruitment starts as early as February or March for summer jobs.

Go to an interview. One of the most often asked questions is: Why do you feel you are qualified for this job? Let them know how positive you are, always willing to help out, and go out of your way for special requests. When asked any experience you may have; Well now you have phone experience, can you dial numbers without really looking at the keypad or even better are you good with a calculator? That’s 10 key (depending on how fast and the job needs this is a good thing to include in your Job experience) Do you know how to use a computer? How about the Internet, Word, Outlook or email? Do you know how to use a fax machine, copy machine? Can you file, sort by abc order, name order, date order. Believe it or not it’s all relevant and sometimes even as a mailroom attendant that’s all you need.

Increase your earnings. After working at the entry level position for a few summers or after school, you will the have the experience to work at a higher level once you are out of high school. This can help you pay your way through college, and you can practically guarantee you’ll always have a summer job. In some cases (like the S.F. Bay Area), you could go from getting minimum wage to getting $15-17/hr.

Tips

Take initiative. Many agencies and organizations get grants to hire teens in the summer and after school. Even if they typically hire kids who are already volunteering for them, you never know. Contact them to find out what is available.

Demonstrate your skills. If you are a good worker, you will have a greater chance of being hired because they already know your work, they aren’t just reading someone’s application. You can show organizations that you are a good worker through volunteering or through references.

If you are called, be available and open to any job and/or time, and you will see how fast you can get a job. If your school schedule conflicts, be honest, let them know there is a conflict or that you have certain times of availability. There are a lot of employers whom are very understanding of special needs or situations.

Once you’ve done good work for someone, ask if you can use them as a reference for future jobs.

Try to get a job in something that you are interested in, as it may help you get a career later in life!

Warnings

If you get a job at someone’s house, always tell your parents where you are going to be, better yet, have them drop you off and meet the person. Trust your gut… if something doesn’t feel right, leave. If something happens to you, get some help.

Do not expect to get paid for doing nothing- you must be prepared to earn your cash.

Check your local child labor laws. It could be that you are not formally allowed to work. However, you still may be allowed to tutor or babysit.

NEVER talk about your life to your boss

You like this guy in one of your classes at school and you would love to get to know him better, except that you are way too shy. No worries. This guide will help you!

Steps

Find the right location and timing. Sometimes the best flirters can’t get their crushes because they flirt at the wrong time and place, so you should plan ahead on when and where to flirt before you make your move. Try talking in the halls, at the lunch table, before class, or while running in gym class. Don’t try getting his attention when he is surrounded by a huge group of friends, unless he invites you over. Not possible? Go up to him when he’s only talking to one or two friends.

Joke around. Most guys love girls with a sense of humor. Mention comedy shows/movies, such as ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Family Guy’, and ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’. If you don’t know any of these shows/movies, then ask your crush about them. Or mention something funny that one of your teachers did in class.

Be casual. Guys do not want to be around drama queens. Your dream boy does not want to hear about your big fight with your BFF, especially when you two are only getting to know each other. Try to be low key and stay to topics such as movies, teachers, homework, sports team, and books. Getting to know guys as friends first will make things easier for you!

Ask questions and tell stories. Don’t talk about yourself all the time! If he’s being a bit quiet during a conversation, ask him a question, like “So, what did you get on the math test?” or “You will not believe what we did in science class today!” Be a bit excited so he’ll listen.

Flirt with him physically. If you two are sitting next to each other while talking, elbow him slightly and laugh when he teases you. If you have known each other for awhile, you can wink and touch his hand subtly and get away with it.

Be slightly hard to get. You shouldn’t throw yourself at him to get him to like you. Being a little hard to get gives him a challenge. For example, if he ask you if you want to go to the movies, say “I’m not sure, I might have plans.” Say it with a little smile and he’ll know that you’re just teasing. And if you actually like him and want to do more than just flirt, mention that you like someone. It’ll drive him crazy and he’ll want to know who it is and if it is him or not. It will also strike up a conversation, which is an ultimate plus.

Know when to stop the flirting. If you have tried every single idea that you have thought of to get his attention and he still does not flirt back, move on. He might not be interested in you. Sometimes, after a girl starts flirting with a few other guys, the guy that the girl flirted with earlier might start liking her. However, this does not always happens and usually guys will move on to other girls.

Tips

Use your quirks as an advantage! If you snort when laughing and he starts making fun of you, say in a nice-but-teasing tone, “Well, excuse me if I’m not afraid to be different!”

Be fresh and clean! Remember to shower and shave, use deodorant, and if you want to, put some light weight perfume that smells like lemon or vanilla.

Smile! Even if you have braces, give him a little smile to adore!

Have faith in yourself. Even if you are scared to talk to a guy, just pretend you are talking to one of your friends.

Remember, flirting should be fun, not hard. If it doesn’t work out, there is always other people to flirt with.

Warnings

Do not flirt with guys who have girlfriends. This will lead to major drama, especially if the boy you like is your friend’s boyfriend. Wait until they break up!

Just because you are skinny, beautiful, and rich doesn’t mean that a boy will like you. You need to be nice, genuine, and funny.

Be careful when flirting. People sometimes get hurt when flirting. Protect your heart!

Flirting should be fun. If the guy doesn’t like you, move on to the next guy. There are many out there!

If a guy says “I don’t know what I want right now” and he says this a lot, it means that he is not interested in you! A lot a girls make this mistake. Guys say that because they are usually too chicken to say so.

Have you ever been bored out of your mind? Do you want to live a more interesting, and let’s face it, a more happy life as a teen? Read on for more inspirations and tips on how to make your life more worth living.

Steps

Volunteering is a great way to pass some time, and who knows pick up a new hobby or two. You can volunteer with animals, sports, after school programs, libraries, tutoring, nursing homes or even people with special needs. The possibilities are endless.

Exercising! who ever said there was anything wrong with being healthy, fit, and energetic? You can jog, run, jump rope, play hopscotch, join a sports team, walk around your neighborhood, ride your bike, and you can even listen to music while doing those activities.

Get a hobby. Anything from playing electronic games to playing guitar to decorating cakes or even writing poetry works and taking photos of plants in your yard can be a hobby. Be yourself and find something creative. You can even become an expert at that particular interest of yours. Find something you like and learn all about it. Then teach others.

Listen to music, dance, and create your own dance moves.

Watch a movie. You can also watch documentaries or educational ones. A lot of those programs can be really interesting, and you’ll learn something.

Do housework — it will definitely make your parents happy. Then they might let you buy something. Or if you already have a deal, now is the best time to live up to it.

Go to the library and look up random things that interest you. Check out a few how-to books and learn something you’ve always wanted to know.

Learn a new language. This can help you later in life when you’re applying for a job.

Write a journal or diary. Doing this relieves stress and you can look back 5 years from now and laugh at how naive or funny or weird or corny you may sound.

Go shopping! But you don’t have to buy anything, you can just go window shopping. You can even do this on the Internet, but it won’t be as fun!

Edit WikiHow

Make someone’s day. Take the time to think of someone you know who isn’t really themself lately or is sick. You can make them a card, or a gift, maybe something homemade like a knitted scarf. Guarantee that it will put a smile on their faces and make them happy. You can also call someone you haven’t talked to in a long time, like grandparents, cousins, or a friend that has moved away.

Get a part-time job. Think of the pocket money you’ll make and get life skills at the same time.

Surf the web! Find some interesting sites or go to some sites that specialize in boredom.

Get a penpal. You can find one on a number of websites. All you have to do is type in “penpal” on google, and thousands of websites for penpals will come up. Find one around your age and talk to them about life. Plus, if they live in a different country, you can learn about what it’s like to live there!

It really isn’t, so get out of your shell and remember that if you love yourself, others will too. Especially being a teen, making friends can be hard or easy depending upon several factors.

Steps

Relax. It’s all about confidence – if you are nervous or try too hard to look cool you’ll just act weird, so you won’t make any friends. You will stand out as overdoing something. You have to think of good reasons of why someone would like to meet you, think of the virtues you have. So relax, people will like you for passing a peaceful energy.

Make the first move. Don’t be shy, it won’t help you in anything. Look around for someone that seems interesting, then relax and go up to talk to them. Say hi, give them your name, ask how they are and just meet them. If you know a bit about them, for example, the person likes crafts, you can talk about that. A good subject to talk about to anyone is music, because almost everybody likes music, you can ask someone what kind of music they like and start a cool conversation with them and even find things in common. Sitting shy in a corner distances you from everyone else. Become more outgoing. Other topics could be movies or sports.

Be nice. How do you expect them to like you if you are not nice? Put a calm smile on your face and find out what you and the person you are trying to befriend have in common. You’ll be able to be more comfortable if you find out that other person has things in common with you.

Be a good listener. Give attention to what they say, look straight in their eyes and show you’re paying attention. Nod, agree, show you find that is interesting. It’s important to be a good listener, because everyone likes to be heard, and if this person feels like you’re listening to them, your new friend will enjoy your company more.

Be yourself. I know you’ve heard it a lot of times, but no one really likes a poseur – people would like the real you better for your virtues, not a fake person no one really knows. So just be you, speak your mind, that way people will enjoy being around you a lot more and feel comfortable that you’re not trying to deceive them or are moving so fast that they can’t keep up (being fake, trying to change what you truly are in a short period of time). Be yourself and you will get people that like you for you. If they don’t like you for being yourself, then it is time to move on to someone else. Be natural, be the way that you were born to be… God did put you on Earth for some purpose and show it off.

Develop friendships. You may talk to someone now but soon they’ll forget you if you stop. You better take a time to say hi to them everyday and ask how are they doing. Say their name as often as you can, like every once every 3-5 sentences you say, unless you know it’d seem awkward. When you greet them, say things like, “Hey there, Alex!”, “How’ve you been, Sarah?”, “I hope classes are going well with you, Josh!” If you do that everyday, they’ll be happy that you care about them and remembered them, so they won’t forget you and you guys will be good friends. Also, if you say the other person’s name out more often, and they hate it, they can come to appreciate it, because of you!

Include those friends in your social life. Invite your new friends to go out together with you, go to mall or hang out at a cool place. You guys must have fun together, so you can introduce your new friends to old friends and build your social circle from there, with people that accept each other.

Tips

Get your new friend’s phone number, e-mail addresses and give them yours; keep in touch.

Don’t try too hard, relax and be yourself – they will like you.

Have fun with your new friends; but don’t forget old friends.

Stop thinking you are not cool enough to talk to them. They will have good reasons to want to talk to you after they meet you – think of your virtues!

Smile! People are drawn to happy, positive people!

Warnings

Remember that not everyone is a true friend! So watch your back and don’t trust everyone you meet.

Don’t try too hard to impress a certain group only because they have high status – it’s a lot better to meet people for who they are, not for what they have.

With friends, it’s quality over quantity. Making one or two best friends is usually enough.

Take time to make sure they are true friends, not ones that’d blab out all your secrets, things that can embarrass you, or draw unwanted kinds of attention towards you.

Be friendly, but don’t be too friendly. Not all people are nice and some can try to take advantage of you. Don’t be afraid to show your decisions, don’t pity time over time for the same person. It’s a sign that they may be trying to make you their pet.

DO NOT spread rumors. This will just break friendships and make people think your a jerk.

If one friendship doesn’t work out don’t be afraid to start a new one. Over time you should be involved in an awesome friendship. If you fall just try, try, and try again.

Don’t just walk up to someone and start telling them all your problems. Some people will think it is weird. Just give them enough information to contact you and consider you as a friend.

Take it slowly; friendships normally do not form overnight.
