You might be a fan of Justin Bieber, but do you have Bieber Fever? Here’s how to diagnose yourself.

Steps

Ask yourself the following questions:

Did your heart flip when you looked at the picture of Justin Bieber above? If it did, that’s one symptom of Bieber Fever. It doesn’t just apply to the picture above. Does your heart flip every time you see a picture of Justin Bieber? Answer honestly!

When you hear Justin Bieber’s name on the radio or on TV, what do you do? Do you scream? Do you tell everyone else to shut up so that you can listen to the story about him? Do you insist on rewinding so that you can hear every second of the story? If you answered yes to any of these questions, that’s another symptom of Bieber Fever.

Do you own at least 1 of his CDs or have purchased at least 5 of his songs on iTunes? If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, you may have Bieber fever.

Do you have at least 2 posters of him? This means anywhere…your bedroom, your locker, inside your school binder, etc. If you have 2 or more posters of him, this is an extreme symptom of Bieber Fever.

When you hear people insulting Justin, do you stick up for him? If someone says “Justin Bieber’s singing sucks!” Do you step in and say, “He sings better than you do!” This is another extreme symptom of Bieber Fever.

Finally, have you been to at least 1 of Justin Bieber’s concerts? If so, this is the most extreme symptom of Bieber Fever. If you’ve been to more than 1 of his concerts, you’re well on your way to having a serious case of Bieber Fever.

Ask your friends if they think you have Bieber Fever. They’ll be pretty honest with you and will most likely tell you if you have Bieber Fever or not, especially if they know you very well.

Take on-line quizzes or quizzes in magazines about Bieber Fever. These quizzes will really help tell you if you have Bieber Fever or not.

As a teenager, you’ll be starting high school, making new friends, and most likely dating. Your hormones are racing the most in these few years, so it can be quite a roller coaster ride, but by the time you are a junior or senior, they are settled. Make the best of it by taking the advice below, so that you can remember good things from the past when you are an adult. You will be an adult soon enough, but you will experience many different changes on the way!

Steps

Have a healthy social life. As simple as this may be, a healthy social life is the key to enjoying your life in spite of the stress of school. Shop with friends; enjoy buying clothes and accessories. Go to a theme park, water park, or a few trips. Try to make at least two best friends, and try to make many friends from your gender and two or three the opposite gender for diversity. Go to arcade places, bowling, or teen clubs and places; this will be the best interaction with other teenagers or people around your age.

Have hobbies at home. Sew, read, play computer games, draw, or do yoga. Get a MySpace and/or Facebook account, but try not to get addicted to it. Make videos with your friends and post them on YouTube. Check online to see the hottest new music and the coolest new artists and songs of your genre of choice. Be a fan of your favorite sports team. Find whatever you enjoy doing and do it! Start a movie or book collection.

Be Creative — Show off your talents. Write music, write stories and poems, create cool drawings, learn how to create web pages and computer programs, create your own clothes, cook, bake, work on a car, anything.

Get the latest accessories. Get cable TV and watch shows and films of your preference; family-style programming such as Disney Channel, ABC Family and WGN, or maybe intense drama the likes of Burn Notice or

Justified. If you are more of a carefree, light hearted person, maybe anime or animated sitcoms such as Family Guy or The Simpsons will be good for you. Get an Xbox 360, PS3 or a Wii to play fun and interactive games in your spare time. Most importantly, get a mobile, PDA, iPod, PSP, MP3 player, iPhone, BlackBerry, or digital camera. Ask for these for your birthday or on Christmas, or any other day you celebrate.

Think of your own fashion. Be yourself and see what looks good on you (makeup and clothing attire). Whether it’s face makeup (lip gloss and mascara) or body lotion, you got to be decent out the door, right? www.polyvore.com is a great website to get inspiration for a outfit for every day of the year!

Watch what you eat. Eat healthy foods and use junk foods either in moderation or as a treat. Try to have a good amount of water in your system and eat at least one big meal a day; more if you have high metabolism or in sports.

Study hard in school. Always turn in your homework on time and do well on tests. Education is the most important thing in your life; doing poorly, not trying, or dropping out of school can hurt your future in a significant way. If you are getting bad grades because you are struggling with something, get help. But if you are sluffing off, it might affect college and career opportunities in the future.

Get involved. School has many things for you to become involved in and have fun doing. Getting involved will help you in future years(look good on your college application) and you’ll meet alot of people. Like chess? You can be in the chess club, if the school doesn’t have a club you wish you were in (say bowling club) you can create your own! This will help you be motivated in school.

Listen to your parents. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, it will make your life so much more easy and enjoyable if you just listen to your parents, so you don’t have to hear them keep yelling at you! Obeying them will actually be an easy way into getting what you want, remember it has to be a 50/50 cooperation, not 80/20. You parents might be not be as up to date as you, but they may give you good timeless advice. They are in the real world, not the “surreal teen world”.

Tips

Enjoy it with all your heart and soul, because your teen years will one day be a memory in history and never come back. Take pictures, keep a journal, etc.

Exercise! It helps with stress, and may even make you happier than usual.

Many teens have trouble understanding that one does not have to have a boyfriend or girlfriend to have a good teen life. Many singles are having fun, too. Being single will give you more time for your friends, your activities, your education, your job, and your hobbies.

Please be a smart and safe driver when you are learning/getting your license. Never drink and drive. It will scar you forever if you do something you wish you didn’t.

Don’t pretend to be something you’re not, eventually people are going to realize you’re not being sincere. Get ideas from that person, but don’t try to be like that person.

Warnings

Face it, your teenage years aren’t going to be great, your hormones are going to run crazy, but remember that when it’s over everything gets better

Do not even think about skipping school. Education is very important for you, as it will help you prosper in adulthood.

Do not drink. It’s illegal and has a very high idiot factor.

Do not try to buy cigarettes It’s illegal if you are under 18, and eventually it will cause you health problems. Keep in mind that one out of two long-term smokers die earlier than they would if they had not smoked.

Do not do drugs, period!

Never give in to negative peer pressure. Consider their point of view when you’re under positive peer pressure.

Be careful of who you meet.

Make sure your new friends are really who they say they are.

Swearing does not make you cool. It just makes you sound stupid, immature, and unapproachable. But you don’t have to be like you come out of the 700 Club.

Have some maturity. Try not to get amused at every little thing. Don’t gossip or be mean to other people. Respect others.

It can sometimes seem difficult to pick the right Christmas gift for boyfriends. And that goes for other special men in your life, like a husband, father, brother or son. And giving them a gift takes some amount of thinking and planning. Here are 3 suggestions you can use this season to solve your dilemma and bring joy into your boyfriend’s life.

Electronic Items and Gadgets

As ‘boy toys’ these are the most popular Christmas gifts for boyfriends, husbands and dads. And to match that demand for technical gadgets, manufacturers make sure the market is flooded with something new for them to drool over and desire around the holiday season. You can go exotic and expensive and buy an Apple TV or a Nintendo WII. Or you may stick to a budget and get something more sensible and cheap. No matter what your choice, there are many options available.

Experience Days

These have become popular lately and are unique and unusual presents to give a boyfriend on Xmas day. Adventure lovers may enjoy a day roughing it out in a forest, or riding in a hot air balloon, or racing on a real track in a Ferrari. These make for unique gift experiences that will leave memories that last a lifetime. And a chance to visit the club of a favorite sports team is hard to match in value from a man’s perspective.

Personalized Christmas Gifts for Boyfriends

You can show the depth and intensity of your feelings for the special man in your life by putting something unique into your choice of gifts for him this year. It doesn’t even have to be expensive, only special and personal. Home made calendars with family photos or an engraved key chain or cigarette lighter are excellent choices.

Hopefully these gave you some ideas. If you need more, drop by my website. Or browse around the several guides to buying gifts online. You’re sure to find one that will delight your man.

Elena Williams passionately believes that gifts convey your deepest feelings. Over the years has guided friends and family in picking out the best gifts for their loved ones. She has reviewed best gifts for men and top 10 Christmas toys at her website http://www.toptenchristmastoys.org

Most every teen, especially us girls, has read one of those extremely interesting, comically romantic, page-turning teen books. Being a teen and working on a book is pretty tough stuff, so here are some ideas to get you started!

Steps

Pick a genre before you start writing, so you don’t end up with a romantic historical fantasy tear-jerking book.

Once you pick your genre, pick a city. (If you want you can make up a town. This is a very good idea if making a fantasy book. Also, pick a region or city that you are familiar with.)

Next make some characters. Go outside the stereotypes of the popular girl being a rich, blond, cheerleader that dates all the guys or the Asian kid that is nerdy and smart and never gets anything lower than an A on anything. Instead make the popular girl have red hair or that irresistible bad boy Asian.

Give your characters little quirks, because in the words of Hannah Montana “Nobody’s Perfect!”. Make your popular girl have a scarf fetish or a hat frenzy or make your jock guy always wear Tommy Hilfiger. Just something to make the characters unique.

Next start your story. Try to write for at least ten minutes a day, but don’t push yourself to write random junk.

Tips

If you’re writing a historical fiction story, research that time period to find out what the newest technology and fashions were. God forbid you mess up and a princess isn’t wearing a corset in the 1700s.

Read a lot of the genre you want to write, because it will be easier to write then.

Carry a little notebook and pen or pencil so you can write down interesting names or conversations you hear or any ideas you think of.

If you go on a vacation or see an interesting place make you sure you take lots of pictures of the place or describe it in great detail in a notebook. Pictures are best though.

Warnings

Be careful not to accidentally make a Blaire Waldorf and change her name to Susy Andrews.

DO NOT copy any author’s work! You can get in serious trouble!

It will be hard to write about something you know nothing about.

If you try to get it published and you don’t get anyone liking it after a few times, don’t worry. It took Agatha Christie somewhere around 9 or 10 times to get her first book published.

If you write a mystery, be careful of red herrings. If it’s obvious who did the crime or whatever it won’t be fun to read.

Be careful of having too much dialogue and too little description or vice versa.

Avoid Mary Sues or Gary Stus- AKA characters who are too perfect.

Things You’ll Need

Imagination

Something to write on and with or a computer

Characters

Research (if needed)

Publisher (if wanted)

The issue discussed in this article was not only that the girl was uncomfortable taking nude pictures of herself, but that she was underage and he was 22.

Heather from Scarleteen goes into detail on why this is NOT a good idea for personal and legal reasons.

So you have been working and making money but after a few indulgences, you have been slowly running out. Maybe you have to make your money last between jobs. Here’s how to stretch and properly budget your money as a teen.

Steps

Become conscious of what you spend your money on each month. Make a list of “everything” you buy in one month. Some things really sneak up on you, such as vending machine purchases. Let’s say you buy fifteen dollars worth of snacks from the machine each month. For about ten dollars less, you can probably buy those snacks from your local grocery store and simply stock them in your locker.

Cross out any unnecessary items from the list. Only include things you absolutely need, such as gas money to get to school.

Subtract your necessary expenses from your monthly income. The amount left is your monthly budget. Use this to allot certain funds for various “fun” things or items. Let’s say you have 100 dollars for one month. By either using jars or a bank account, you can set aside a certain amount of cash for any items or activities you want.

Keep any debit or credit cards somewhere (safe) in your car instead of in your wallet when you go shopping. In other words, out of sight, out of mind.

Keep some cash on you for emergencies and for just going out with friends. Try to make the cash last for as long as possible. Don’t blow it all on one night.

You can shop, just wait. A lot of stores have big sales at the end of a season. If an item (like a shirt or pair of pants) is expensive, wait a few weeks and the price will probably be marked down. If you’re an online shopper, look for special deals like free shipping or monthly discounts.

Make a list of things that you want or need that can’t wait until a holiday like Christmas or your birthday. Save your money for those items and try not to stray. If at all possible, wait for special discounts such as sale pricing or free shipping.

Don’t go somewhere you are tempted to spend your money. Do not go to the mall every weekend “just to look”, because for most people, that only lasts for so long.

Find things to do that don’t involve money. Most teens don’t just get money handed to them at the drop of a hat. Instead of going to a movie and spending 15 bucks on your ticket and popcorn, rent a few flicks and grab a bag of microwave popcorn for five dollars. Instead of eating at Tumbleweed, settle for Qdoba.

Find ways to make money. Instead of complaining about slow income find odd jobs to do. You’d be surprised all the people around that could just use someone to babysit their kid for two hours, paint an old dresser for them, mow their lawn or walk their dog.

Avoid going out too much. Find one night every one or two weeks, and set a specific budget for that night. DON’T go over it, since this will throw off your entire month. Gas is expensive. Don’t cruise around just because you’re bored, it will waste gas, which is really wasting your hard-earned cash.

Be happy with what you have.

Tips

Try to save a little too. If you earn $100, save $20; keep this money in a bank account and only open it in extreme emergency.

A teenager thinking about adoption for her baby really does need to think about the pros and cons of adoption. Because she is young, she may have difficulty making such a hard decision. Usually, she is having to decide what to wear to school or what to take for her lunch. Parent a child? Release a child? Those are not every day decisions.

When I think about my daughters being teenagers and having children or I imagine that I am a teenager having a child, these are some pros and cons I would consider:

PROS:

I am still a child in many respects myself, and probably have no business being responsible for another human being!

I have a long life ahead of me to live and so much to do. How will I be able to accomplish what I need to if I am parenting?

My baby deserves a good chance at life. He or she needs a mom and a dad to teach and guide her. I can hardly take care of myself right now.

If someone else raises my child, I will know that they are being loved and are happy and having a wonderful life. Perhaps they will be the next President of the United States, or maybe they will develop the cure for cancer. Whose spouse will they be?

If I release my baby for adoption, they can have a wonderful life and I can continue to do what I need to do in life, knowing that they are happy and healthy.

I will have joy in the knowledge that I made someone’s dream to be a parent come true. I will be their angel.

CONS:

I won’t be the mommy to my baby.

I won’t see them every day, see them take their first steps, say their first words…

I risk being judged or unsupported by my family and friends.

I will go through a pregnancy, labor and delivery but will not have a baby to take home.

Maybe you can think of more pros and cons…make your own list or add to this one. It seems like the cons are more short term issues…the pros are lifelong positive results of a difficult decision, but one that leaves everyone better in the long haul. Whatever you decide, it won’t be easy…parenting is not easy; it’s hard work. Placing a baby is not easy either; it’s hard too. You have to make the best decision for you and your baby.

This guide will show you how to dress like a ninja for Halloween without having to spend money. You’ll be using your own clothes!

Steps

Get dressed in jeans pants and a short sleeve shirt. Make sure the shirt and pants contrast in color.

Grab another pair of jeans pants and a belt, make sure the pants are a dark color. (dark green, brown, navy blue, contrary to popular belief ninjas dont wear black, it actually makes them stand out instead of blend in.)

Grab another short sleeve shirt. Try to make it the same color as the short sleeve shirt you’re wearing.

Take a belt and the second pair of pants. Turn the pants over so the rear is facing up, with the legs going toward your body. Then run the belt through the three belt loops on the pants, from left to right.

Now take the pants, put it on your shoulders with your head between the legs. Make sure the top of the pants are hanging down your back with the legs hanging down your chest.

Grab the two ends of the belt, the buckle should be on your left, and the end should be on your right. Pull them around to your chest, over the pant legs, and fasten the belt.

Fix the legs so they make a V across your chest.

Now take the second shirt and put in on like you were going to wear it normally, but stop when your face gets to the collar and don’t put you arms through the sleeves.

Now make sure the collar is centered over your face and pull the sleeves behind your head and tie the sleeves together.

Now fix the bottom of the collar so it goes over your nose, and the top so its right above your eyes.

Fold in any extra collar.

Now you’re a ninja.

Tips

Depending on the type of environment you live around, a color change from the stereotypical black is a creative idea. For running around at night-time, try a dark or Navy Blue. For Wooded areas (e.g. if you live in a forest area), A dark green or Brown will suit best. If its Halloween and its already snowing (hey, you have to be prepared for the unlikely!) Then white is a good colour. And if you live in the city or suburbia, have a go at a grey. But for instant recognizability as a Ninja, go for black.

If you want to use different colors, make sure the two t-shirts match in color.

It might get hot underneath the mask, so be think about the weather outside before you put one on.

Warnings

Don’t eat or drink with the mask on over your face.

You can easily be mistaken as a terrorist, or a criminal. So be careful where you wear this costume.

Make sure your belt isn’t too tight. The only good ninja is a conscious one.

Things You’ll Need

2 T-shirts (Matching color is best)

2 Jeans Pants

A belt

A book entitled “Bullycide: Death at Playtime” by Neil Marr and Tim Field states that a child commits suicide as a result of bullying (referred to as bullycide) once every half hour. It also says that over 19,000 children attempt suicide every year due to the direct result of bullying.

A large number of these are cyber bullycide victims.

These victims are those children who suffer bullying attacks online. It is far more difficult to detect and therefore makes it difficult to intervene on the child’s behalf.

It is found through surveys compiles by law enforcement agencies that one third of our children are victims of online bullying. One out of every three kids!

Unfortunately, the same survey shows us that only about 41 percent of those children who were victims never informed a parent, relative, teacher, or authority figure of the assault that took place.

Yes, I said assault! A cyber bully attack online can be devastating to a child. It only takes one occurrence to cause significant and long term effects that can affect your child’s emotional well-being.

So just how do we counter such a danger to our children. The answers are not the same for each child or situation.

Obviously, bullying on the playground, school, neighborhood etc… can be controlled much more easily than the internet bullying that might take place.

This is because it will probably be observed by others and you will have a better chance of being made aware of the problem.

It will be much more difficult to take care of the problem if it occurs on the internet simply because it may be taking place and you have no idea what is going on.

There are some obvious tell-tale signs. The two most obvious are:

*Extreme depression, beyond the normal mood swings of children growing up, can definitely be a sign that you need to further investigate what is happening to your child.

*Extreme loss of self-esteem can also be a strong sign that some form of harassment or personal attacks are occurring in the form of bullying.

One thing for sure, if you notice either of the above symptoms, you need to take action immediately! You need to talk to your child and see what is going on.

If necessary do not hesitate to take them to a mental health professional for assistance in finding out why they are depressed or having self-esteem issues.

If we educate ourselves on the issues surrounding internet bullying and bullying we have a better chance of preventing teenage suicides caused by these dangers facing our children.

I have written a detailed report on the subject of Cyber Bullycide Victims

Please read it to find out how to protect your children from Cyber Bullying!
